Andrew joined Mitchells in January 2008 having spent his entire career in public practice primarily focusing on owner managed businesses. He has worked for firms of all sizes ranging from small independent firms to “Big 4” - he therefore brings with him “the best of both worlds”. Although he has primarily worked in and around South Yorkshire and the East Midlands, he also spent a few years working for a large firm of accountants in Australia.

He has specialised in advising a broad range of clients on UK and International accounting issues and has enjoyed good working relationships with business people from start-ups to listed PLCs. Andrew is very perceptive, seeing the bigger picture but is also not afraid to get his hands dirty to resolve any issues.

Having excelled as an audit manager for many years, he brings a common sense, straight forward approach to audit, an often misunderstood and undervalued area for owner managed businesses.

Andrew has a natural head for business, is decisive and together with Richard is also responsible for the management and co-ordination of the firm's services, resources and driving the firm forward in key sectors.

Andrew is married with a small child and in his spare time likes to attend music concerts and festivals.
