Corporate finance services
The term corporate finance covers a very wide range of services to our corporate clients, a few examples are detailed below:
- Business valuations
- Business acquisitions including fund raising and financial due diligence
- Management buyouts
- Assisting with business expansion
- Business disposals
- Mergers and joint ventures
It is fair to say that in the boom years preceding the current recession the corporate finance sector enjoyed tremendous growth and many dedicated corporate finance businesses were formed.
What separates what we at Mitchells offer our clients compared to the competition is really quite simple and can probably be summed up in one word – empathy.
Many corporate finance assignments involve a single one off and usually significant event or transaction. We will have experienced the intricacies of the transaction before and are able to provide you with expert advice accordingly, however we recognise that the business owner will not have had any prior experience in this field.
We fully appreciate that the business owner will have become accustomed to being a key player in his or her field and accustomed to being the leader of the business. It will be very hard therefore to enter into a significant corporate finance transaction where the rules of the game are very much unknown and professional assistance is a necessity.
What we do not do is seek to dominate the transaction and leave the client ill at ease with the process. We firmly believe in explaining in plain English what is likely to happen during the transaction, we also understand the need for hand holding throughout the process and being there at any time of the day to lend support.
If you are considering entering into a corporate finance type of transaction in the future please do not hesitate to contact either Tim Leeman or Tony Hornsby. In many cases addressing the matter very early on can make a significant impact upon the outcome, this is especially so for business disposals.
